Where do you stand in self-leadership?
What I often see: men who function fine on the outside and feel something else within. This two-minute self-test shows where you stand strong and where you need attention. Eight areas, one clear picture.
No destination. A daily practice.
ALIGN. RISE. CONTINUE. EVOLVE.
Eight places where you leave yourself, or lead yourself.
- 01Body and energy
- 02Quiet in your head
- 03Direction and meaning
- 04Calm under pressure
- 05Handling tension
- 06Staying yourself in relationships
- 07Words and actions aligned
- 08Setting boundaries
Two minutes. Answer honestly.
There's no right or wrong. Choose what's closest to the truth, not to who you want to be.
When things get busy, my training or my food is the first thing to go.
I go to bed too late even though I know what that does to me tomorrow.
After a difficult conversation, I replay it in my head a few times in the evening.
I doubt a decision after I've already made it.
I know there's more in me, but not clearly where I'm headed.
At the end of a workday I wonder what I'm doing it all for.
When it really matters, I react differently than I'd want.
In ordinary situations I'm calm, but under pressure it flips.
I fall back on distraction, a drink, or overworking to avoid feeling something.
I only notice I was tense once it's already over.
With someone I care about, I say things I don't mean to keep the peace.
In a relationship I lose myself in what the other person needs.
I know how I'd want to act, but I don't.
I stay in something I've long known isn't right.
I say yes when I mean no.
Before I say no, I apologize or explain at length.
